Welcome to Slane.com, a personal tribute to Slane. The image to the left links to an outstanding brochure on Slane, published by Meath Tourism.

As an Irish-American, I am always moved to hear my relatives in Ireland speak of when I last "came home", meaning of course, to Ireland.
My father's father traced his mother's roots to the Vaughey family in Slane, a small estate village about an hour's drive north of Dublin. The charm of the town, its people, its history and literary heritage have led me to adopt Slane as my pen name.
The map can link you to many of the treasures of Slane.
